Word has it on the street, now that UGA has finally beaten Alabama they’ll be bringing back the Blackout games. I know, it sounds like that was 100 years ago, but hopefully, the curse has been removed. Forever Alabama has been inside Georgia’s head and now…Alabama is on top of their heads! While the Dogs won this game and the natty, their perfect season was destroyed by Alabama in SEC Championship game. Hard to believe, but the last time UGA won it all was 1980. Since 1980, Bama has won 7 National Championships. Think about that. And Alabam has won 10 SEC Championship games since 1992. 10. UGA has only won 3.
More incredible is that Alabama was back in the CFP after losing close to the entire coaching staff the year before, suffered major injuries through the year not to mention the loss of their top receivers before or during the CFP (lost three offensive linemen for the natty and two defensive backs).
Georgia fans should enjoy this one because history isn’t on their side. My guess??? UGA is the next LSU.
