Kensington Park is a local neighborhood you can find right off of East Derenne Avenue. The nearly 160 acres that are Kensington Park-Groveland Historic District is a post-World-War II residential neighborhood. It was built as one of the first residential sub developments for the middle and upper class after WW-II in Savannah. Kensington Park recently earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places, the official list of America’s historic treasures.
