Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park’s Freedom Day Celebration

Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park celebrates National Freedom Day continues on Saturday, February 3rd, from 11am-1pm is being held in conjunction with the 28th Annual Gullah Celebration. Join Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park in celebrating the contributions of African Americans in the Arts. Freedom Day is a very special time of reflection for Mitchelville. It’s the day that commemorates the signing of the resolution that proposed the 13th Amendment. We are honoring that day with a special event on in conjunction with the 28th Annual Gullah Celebration. This event will give visitors an opportunity to learn more about the historic connections of Mitchelville and Ft. Howell and enjoy performances by Gullah Kinfolk and other special guests.
