Community Development

In community development, we focus on quality education for our children and our employees along with sensible employment matched with sensible environmental conservancy. It means protecting and growing Savannah’s major economic engines – manufacturing, tourism, military, ports/logistics, health care, and education.

Public Policy

In public policy, we tackle crisis issues and critical quality-of-life challenges such as education, water, and transportation.

For Members

For members, we offer over 150 events and activities each year to help them connect and make business contacts.

In 2017, The Savannah Area Chamber undertook a new Strategic Planning initiative. This effort examined programs and activities of the past and focused on the future role in which the area business community can best contribute to making the Coastal Region a business healthy environment supporting existing business investment and creating a stronger foundation for increased future business investment~ thus creating healthy jobs for citizen employment.

With strategic planning and prioritization in place from 2017 & 2018’s work, the 2019 Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce Business Plan maintains a focus on those priorities, and the development of alternative strategies and tactics to best position the Chamber and business resources in ways to advance the community.

These initiatives will make doing business in the Savannah area fair and predictable, as competition for investment continues to increase.
