Where you start your tour….

Tour Headquarters will be at the Jepson Center, located at 207 W York Street on Telfair Square. It opens at 9:00 a.m.  This is where you will begin the tour by picking up your tour Guidebook and Wristband. The Wristband is your required ticket for entrance into the tour locations.  Guidebook and Wristband pickup will begin an hour before your Tour Session.

Want an early view of what is on the tour?  Download the Tour Buddy Historic Tours App

Tour Budy will provide GPS directions for the Tour and will give you access to information on places to stay, restaurants to try, and events to attend while you are in Savannah. Go to the app store and search for Tour Buddy Historic Tours.  Once it’s downloaded, click on the three horizontal bars on the top right of the main page, and then choose All Guides, and then Holiday Tour of Homes.  GPS directions to the houses featured on the Tour will be available on December 6th so you can plan your walking route.  Tour private homes will be posted to the app three days prior to the start of the tour.

Ride the Bus….

We have arranged  with the Old Savannah Tours to run a shuttle between the Jepson Center for the Arts, tour heaquarters, and the center of the walking tour, Massie Heritage Center. Tickets are $10.

Please note:

  • Touring private homes is a special experience. Some will be decked with elaborate Christmas decorations, other homes will be more understated to reflect the holiday traditions specific to the family. All the homes and Inns on the tour will have beautiful interiors.

  • This is a self-guided walking tour, and the private houses will not be wheelchair or walker accessible, many will have 10-12 stairs to climb to reach the entrance and many more inside.  There are no elevators available for use.

  • Wheelchairs and strollers cannot be allowed inside houses.

  • Well behaved children who are interested in adult activities are welcome, but must also pay the full ticket price. Small children must be carried.

  • No photography will be allowed.

  • YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR WRISTBAND TICKET UNTIL CHECK-IN AT THE JEPSON CENTER LOCATED AT 207 W. York St, THE DAY OF THE TOUR. Tour headquarters opens at 9:00 a.m., though we would appreciate afternoon Tour 2 attendees waiting until 10 am to pick up their tickets to allow for the Tour I rush to subside.
